CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU Look at the things you worship Think about the stuff you fill your life up with You know it does not follow you in death Aint gonna take it with you Aint gonna take it with you You might as well turn your cold life around and look for life in God look for life in God Look at how you bow to Think about why you're anxious for things that must all pass away And all the while you are crying for those things Someone is waiting for you to say I love you and You aint gonna take it with you aint gonna take it with you You might as well turn your heart to love and look to God for grace Notice the the cost of service to all those things that will not last You know they have never made you happy and now a time for reckoning comes to pass Oh you weren't gonna take it with you You never could take it with you You should have turned your mind to Love and looked to Him for life Stop and observe your emptiness Wonder why you're left with nothing at the closing of your life Can't take it with you You can't take it with you You should have filled your life with God and all those things that come from Him Like the focus on friendships and loved ones and gifts of love to those in need like helping hands of mercy and the truth on which we feed Things that we will take with us Things that will last forever and fill our eternal hearts with gladness and joy and joy Words, music, audio recording, video & recording © John Brusseau, 5/19/2023
