SAFE AND WARM

All of our arguing over who God is
is silenced by the storm
Either we are caught out in the cold
or we are safe and warm
in the arms  of a holy God
in the arms  of a holy God

Sometimes all our words mean nothing
and not because their wrong
It’s just that life comes softly in the night
humming Jesus’ song
from the heart  of a loving God
from the heart  of a loving God

All this talking fades away now
Only God is heard
All our ego’s bow to Jesus
Our truths are absurd
In the light of this eternal God
In the light of this eternal God

Lord come quickly to your children
waiting in this void
trusting in a God of mercy
in His grace deployed
in the hands of our almighty God
in the hands of our almighty God
